Her estimated age at that time was approx 2 yrs. Dr. was reluctant to do surgery since despite her dysplasia, she was so functional. I swear that the glucosamine has made a huge difference for her. Also, weight is such an important factor.......hope you can slim him down. I think if he was to lose a little weight it would also put less stress on his hips. Glad you got some Glucosamine, I have also heard that is good for arthritis. Give him a hug and pat for us.

www.travelwithkevinandruth.comRuthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18136052866820208847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636111343812044798.post-14591705499730229992014-08-28T17:21:44.832-05:002014-08-28T17:21:44.832-05:00I think you'll be pleased with results of taki...I think you'll be pleased with results of taking it..know how you feel. It's so difficult to see our pets in pain. Losing weight will make a huge difference, but labs are foodies as you know. I add about 1/4 cup of canned green beans (no salt) to all of Jackson's meals. It is good for him, he loves them, and it fills him up with little to no calories. We got 7 pounds off of him. Our lab, Maggie, would not have lasted as long as she did without it. And myself also have been on it for years. It sure helps with arthritis. I never bothered with the ones for pets as they are so expensive, I just gave her the same ones I took that I got from Costco, make sure they have condroitin in them too. My vet said they would work just fine and they did. It takes about a month to get into their system.
Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838311859054693066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636111343812044798.post-10175110253223916982014-08-28T12:52:28.271-05:002014-08-28T12:52:28.271-05:00Glad to hear that Riggs isn't in any pain.
