Well Donna and I just got back from picking up my a new set of hearing aids. I hadn’t been wearing any for a couple of years since one of my old ones quit and they were making my ears hurt. Of course Donna didn’t like me not hearing, so she finally talked me into going and trying the latest an greatest new hearing aid technology. After the audio exam the doctor said my ears have gotten a lot worse since my previous exam, but that they could still match a set up for me. I must say these seem to be clearer and no background noise or squeals like my old ones. Time will tell. Now will just have to remember to take them out before swimming or showers.Donna is happier, so that is what counts. We are counting down the day before our trip. We will leave the first of June and spend two days in Sandwich Il visiting with the Cave’s. Then go up to Union IL for a couple of days and see the Illinois Railroad Museum. After that we will head to Indiana to visit our Niece and Nephew, then down to Westerville Oh. to visit another Niece and Nephew, after that it will be on to Cincinnati to visit Donna’s brother, and then we will head east to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. AS I told Donna if she gets tired we will just sit an extra day or two. We would like to head into New York state and then head west to Niagara Falls NY, Don’t know about Canada yet.
When we get back we may take a couple weeks and just local camp in Mo.
Not much else going on, Hope all is well with all our friends. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna…
Nice to know that you got fitted up with hearing aids again and that they seem to be comfortable and are helping you hear better once again. I know that when my Dad doesn't wear his, I am constantly shouting and repeating myself, which I expect is what Donna was doing, so now hopefully that will be easier for her too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a great trip planned and I am sure you will both enjoy the time away visiting with friends and family.
