Great News.

On Thursday at at 0530AM Donna and I left the house to drive to the Surgery Center in Florissant MO. to have surgery  on my left eye, A month ago I had my right done and t is perfect,

After surgery I could see really well.

Yesterday went to the doctors office for my first post op exam and the surgeon said I tested out at 20/20 vision in my new left eye. This is unbelievable for 24 hours after surgery,This young lady surgeon is supposed to be in the top 5 on the US for eye surgery. I can believe it.

I just loved the drive home just looking at all the sharp signs and colors now that the smoggy vision of the cataracts is gone. Anyone who is contemplating cataract surgery, get it done, especially if your insurance  covers it. My Medicare and supplement covered all but  $175 per eye copay. Absolutely no pain or discomfort in the whole procedure.

Now in a month I will be ready for summer, and my Son Tim’s wedding in New Jersey.

Donna is still having breathing issues but is doing the best we can, she is making plans for us to leave with the camper to go out east at the end of April for the wedding on May 2nd and then we will probably spend the summer traveling again,

Not much else going on here at the ranch, other than thanking God for my second chance on vision. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna….

Eye Doctor Appointment.

Had my final checkup on the right eye that I had surgery on three weeks ago.The doctor said it looked great, and then he said we will go ahead and do the left eye on next Thursday 3-24. I am really looking forward to getting this done, they said when it is done I will probably never have to wear glasses again for the rest of my I look forward to buying a nice pair of polarized sunglasses to take the place of my prescription pair.

We have had some really nice spring like days in the 70’s this week, yesterday got my truck from the body, won’t say who but somebody besides me backed it up and he door wasn’t latched and flew open and hit my fiver the trailer is okay, but the door and front fender on the truck needed to be replaced. OH well such is life.

Everything else is going well, Donna is till trying to build up her breathing. Nothing else is going on. Hope all is well with all our friends out there. Be Safe, Sam & Donna…..

Another good exam.

Yesterday I went to my one  week post surgery eye exam, The doctor said everything looked fine. They also tentatively scheduled my left eye surgery for 3-24, but he did say I would have to go in on the 18th for some more measurements since the cataract in that eye is not quite up to the measurement that the insurance will pay. He said if it fails the test for the insurance, we will just wait a year and then recheck it. Either way is good news and right now I can see clearly without glasses.

Here is a picture of the two brothers sharing Rigg’s bed.

Looks like Charlie has reached his adult size, 65lbs, Rigg’s is quite a bit heavier at 108lbs.

A little cooler this weekend with temps in the 40’s. Later in the week we are supposed to see temps in the 60’s and 70’s.

Donna is feeling a little better the last couple of days. Hope that lasts for awhile.

Another month and around my birthday April 1st we should see a warming trend pointing toward spring.

Not much going on here at the Ranch, Hoe all is well with all our friends traveling. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
