More Doctors.

Had my eye doctor appointment  this morning at 08:45am over in St Louis County in Florissant MO. Which meant rush hour traffic across the bridge. I left Dardenne Prairie at 7:30Am, traffic wasn’t as bad as expected so the 30 mile commute took about 40 minutes. The purpose of todays appointment was to measure my eyes for my cataract surgery, this is done with three machines to get a precise measurement for the lens they will implant in my eye. The doctor said my right eye which has the worst cataract is borderline astigmatism so it will be up to the surgeon if she thinks that needs correction, their goal is to return me to 20/20 in both eyes and not have to wearfor the rest of my life. The both procedures for the right eye can be done at the same time. They have scheduled the right eye for Feb 25th and the other for 4 weeks later. I am really excited about this.Doctor who I went to yesterday had his done in December and said its like a miracle. By the way my numbers were good and I’m good for anther 3 months or 3000 miles.
Riggs was waiting for me to get back from the Doctors, he is such a wuss, he really misses his Daddy when I go out.

Here he is, safe and secure, next to his Daddy on the rug. That’s about all for now, Be safe out there. Sam & Donna………

  1. I wish I could have afforded the corrective lenses when I had cataract surgery, but at least at that time my insurance didn't cover it and the cost was several thousand dollars.

  2. I have heard great things about how good people can see after surgery. Our girls think we've been gone forever even if we've only been gone 10 minutes. And then Skitz follows me all over.

  4. Sam, Paul and I both had cataract surgery. You can't believe how dark everything is perceived through those cloudy old lenses until you have one eye done and alternately hold your hand over one eye and then the other. It's like someone turned the lights on!! Best of luck with your surgery! Helen & Paul
