Monday Mumblings.

Oh Boy another day almost down and one to go, I took the truck out today first thing at 08:00AM I stopped at the Auto Parts store and got 2 gallons of Rotella (I carry one in the truck) and a filter for my Duramax. Then I went to Jiffy Lube and had the oil changed and all the fittings greased. For some reason Jiffy Lube and Valvoline stopped carrying Rotella so I have to bring my own oil, I brought the filter just in case they didn’t have one. They charged $32 for a 4X4 service where they grease it and check all the gear boxes and  fluid levels and top off anything that needs it, that is if you supply your own stuff. So counting the $34 dollars at the Parts Store it was $66 to have it serviced before the trip home, Money well invested.

I then had to make a run to Big Lot’s for Wendy, her cordless phone quit so I bought one there and two bottles  of Gas Line antifreeze for her car. Then a stop at the Grocery store so she has some food stocked up until she can get to the store on the Handicapped Bus, she won’t be able to drive for several more months.

I have decided on the southern route as it look’s like the snow line is just north of Columbus OH and running northeast. Hopefully that will keep me on clear highway and I will just pay the turnpike tolls, It does add about an hour to the total drive time, but better safe than sorry.

I remember one trip home from PA with Donna in February many years ago, when they had just had one of those Midwest Blizzards and it took two days and it seemed endless with hundreds of cars and trucks in the median or ditch. I just don’t want a repeat of the trip from Hell.

Wendy had a low sugar incident today and got dizzy and sweaty, we measured it and she was 72, so she drank a can of soda and laid down and is now feeling better.

I have had that happen if I fast and not eat so I know what that is like, she said she is going to bed right after supper , and I know those diabetic incidents just take all your strength away.

Not much else going on just a day closer to heading to the Show-Me State, Hear that Rigg’s, Oh I know I just said that the other day, Be a good boy. Yall be safe out there, hear. Sam & Donna.
