Was a nice sunny but cool day here at the ranch, didn’t seem like it since there was a pretty good breeze, but it did get up to 61 degrees. That’s about right for November here in Dardenne Prairie.
Didn’t do much today, I went to Wally World to get some light bulbs and RV antifreeze. Donna is off so she whipped up a peach cake, Now she is frying some potatoes, we will have those with some smoked sausage ( schnitzels) and a vegetable. Rigg’s is looking at his dish waiting for his supper too. Mom told him he has to be good from now until Christmas as he is still not quite up to top behavior. Will he ever slow down. He lost his I want a treat bandanna, I went out in the yard but didn’t find it. He gets really territorial about those and when he see's you with a clean one wants it put on right now.
How about a couple of Navy shots.
Battleship New Jersey on Display Camden New Jersey.
UH2 Seasprite on the New Jerseys deck.
A long passageway on USS New Jersey complete with knee knockers and as usual with any Navy vessel. spotless.
That’s about it for today, Be safe out there. Sam & Donna……….
When Den and I were lucky enough to take a day cruise on the JFK, we walked through lots of passageways just like that one..and up and down many a ladder!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it - you had to be in good shape to be on one of those ships. The wind must have gotten the bandana so it's time for a new one in order to have a happy puppy. He's so cute it's really hard to say no to that face.
ReplyDeleteI was stationed on a Canadian destroyer in 66 (HMCS Saguenay) & have memories of racing through those narrow passage ways on 'Man Overboard', 'Action Stations', Abandon Ship Drill's' etc. My bunk was in the stern & my battle station was at the bow's 5" gun station. It was a long run........
