Saturday Notes.

To include, Friday, we left the campground at Lakeville at 09:30AM and drove to the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen where the Escapade is going to be held. We arrived around 10:15AM and noticed the line going into the grounds was barely moving, it took an hour an a half to finally reach out spot. The guys parking us said the hold up was because someone driving a 5th wheel didn’t know how to back up and got stuck blocking the entrance way.

Once we were set up we had a meeting for the staff at 03:00PM  and then a social hour afterwards. Then it was back to the fiver for some relaxation.

Today we started at 07:00AM and worked the parking detail until 02:00PM.

We do have a few pics.

Rigg’s after a hard day of camping.

Today was early arrival day and we had a couple hundred rigs arrive. They are expecting about 525 rigs that have reservations.

That  means the Parking detail will have another busy day tomorrow.

Tonight there is a staff appreciation supper at 05:00PM so we will continue to meet new faces.

That’s it for today will post some more tomorrow, the Escapade is scheduled to start Monday so we should have everyone parked by tomorrow afternoon.

Be safe out there. Sam & Donna…….

  1. I feel sorry for the driver of the 5ver who couldn't back up. That could have been me! When I really had problems though, some good soul always came to my rescue and backed it up for me. Mostly I just tried to avoid situations where I needed to go in reverse. I hope you are enjoying your get-away.
