Monday Musings.

Another cloudy rainy day here at the ranch, says it might be sunny all day tomorrow, really have to get started on some serious grass  cutting, before the inspectors start giving out grass warnings and tickets. Dardenne Prairie isn’t big enough to have it’s own police force,They use the County Sheriff. But they do have a code enforcement guy that will come out, usually about grass or derelict cars.  Two years ago I got a warning when it was just like this, rain for a week straight and no way to get into some of the low watersoaked areas without getting stuck. Last time I cut I had to pull the tractor out once with the truck.

All I can do is hope for a couple of sunny days with a little wind to dry up the ground. It is usually some neighbor that snitches you out. Last time somebody in the subdivision behind us complained, You know they have a postage stamp yard and we have a full 2 acres of grass to cut.

Not much going on in a couple of weeks our visitors from Israel will be here, we look so forward to meeting them, then later maybe in July I would like to take a couple days and go to a campground maybe with the Grands Adam and Nicky.

My laptop has a mark at the top on the screen. where it fell off the table in the fiver on our trip, the crystal display must have got a small crack in it. I found a replacement screen on the web for $57 so I may order it and try to switch them myself.

That’s about it for today, Rigg’s and I enjoyed a train movie for about an hour, he slept through most of it although he likes when they show steam engines, not so much the diesels.

Everyone be safe out there. Sam & Donna………

  1. We had plenty of cloud coverage today but it sounds like you got all the rain they predicted for us.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

  3. I would never have thought a person could change out the screen on a computer. Good luck.
