Donna had a Doctor’s appointment with her COPD doctor this morning, she has not been doing well, for the last couple of weeks, weakness, dizzyness, not being able to breath even with the help of oxygen. THe doctor changed some of her medicine and wants her in the hospital on the 26th. for some tests that can’t be done in the office.Naturally Andy and I worried,I ak all family and friends to remember her in their prayers.
I had my doctors appointment today also, when I got there, they told me it was for yesterday,I told the the card the girl in the office gave me said Dec23th on my refrigerator.Had to reschedule, next available day was Feb 2nd.
Nothing else going on everyone be safe, Sam & Donna…
It is a really nice sunny weekend with a temperature of 56 degrees. Donna was feeling better so for the first time in weeks she went out and met her bff Renee for a brunch, she was tired when she got back but at least she got out and enjoyed her morning.
My Son Andy got a cord of wood delivered by a friend of his, they are unloading it onto the wood rack. With the mild winter we are having it should lastuntil spring. But no matter how nice it is we always have a couple weeks of below zero weather usually after Christmas or in January some time.
Andy and buddy loading the rack.
Still more to go untl they have it all on the rack.
Andy was carrying it from the trailer in the driveway to the back of the house in his arms his buddy had a wheelbarrow. Guess who was working harder.
How many of you guys out there can relate this like I can.
THat’s about it for today, be safe out there.
Sam & Donna……….
As anyone who has visited the Weeb Ranch in the last 5 years or so has noticed. We had a retaining wall outside our garage entrance that has been leaning and getting worse as each winter goes by. We were getting afraid that it would come down, so we decided to have it removed.
Leaning wall last summer.
This morning the contractor arrived to start work on it.
AS you can see he had some heavy duty equipment and a tandem dump truck to remove the pieces. He will be back in the morning to continue the demolition and then start rebuilding a smaller wall.
You can bet all this noise kept the mutso’s occupied with barking and being excited.
After having the bathrooms done and painted and now this maybe we can start saving for another trip to someplace warm. Although as you can imagine this job is costing us a fortune.
That’s the news for today, be safe out there, Sam & Donna…….
Today marks the 74th anniversary of the attack on the Naval base in Pearl Harbor by the Imperial Japanese Navy.Thousands of lives were lost. But it awakened the sleeping giant of America and we came back to achieve victory in WW2.
Take a minute to reflect on this and the danger our country faces today.
It is a cold day here at the Weeb Ranch, Donna and I aren’t planning on going out anywhere, But the mutso’s are in and out they don’t seem to mind a little cold, except for Sadie, she goes out does her thing, then runs for the back door to come in, Charlie would play outside all day if you let him.
Were still waiting for Donna’s flat screen TV to be delivered. It will replace the set in our bedroom that is about 25 years old. Last time we ordered a TV from Wal-Mart it was delivered in 3 days. This time it was due here on Dec 4th but never arrived, Wal-Mart is tracing it now all they could say is it doesn’t show any delivery, No kidding.
That’s the news for today, everyone be safe, Sam & Donna………..
After two weeks, I finally got my laptop back from the repair shop today, The keyboard needed to be replaced again. you just don’t realize how much you miss a computer until it is gone, no blogs, no Facebook, no emails. Donna has her own laptop but it is setup with her accounts, so I just did without most of the time and waited. feels good to have my old friend back, especially since I can read my digital train books again.
Riggs is moping too.

The weather is starting to act Decemberish, it’s in the 40’s right now and cloudy, don’t look forward to winter.
Hope all is well with all our friends out there. Be safe .Sam & Donna…..
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of 1911. An armistice was called ending World War 1. IN 1954 it was changed to Veterans Day to commemorate all who served their country in the armed forces.
As most of you know Sam served from 1966-1970 during the Viet Nam conflict in the US Navy as a member of a flight crew in Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 2, the world famous Fleet Angels.AS we would tell anyone, “Once an Angel, Always an Angel”.I will also tell anyone especially when am Thanked for my service, That is was the most fun a young man could have. So lets take a minute and say Thanks to a veteran today on their special day.To all my fellow blogger veterans, Have a great day.
Another nice mild Fall day, here in Dardenne Prairie, sunny and in the middle 60’s. The dogs are going in and out and loving the warm and sunny day outside.
Other than that not much shaking around the Ranch. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna…….
Boy I can’t believe I let the blog set for so long, maybe it’s the great Fall weather, we have only had a couple of rain days and the rest have been sunny and mild. Bobby, the young man who is doing the repairs and carpentry work here at the ranch started in the Kitchen Bathroom, we had a window that came apart and needed replacement, since it was an odd size it had to be ordered special made. that took three weeks he got it in yesterday and now the paintwork and wood staining needs to be done. Here is a before and after view.
Before.
After.
Tough to get a decent picture when your shooting into the sun, Maybe I could get a few tips from Bayfield Al. Both days the sun was full strength directly through the window.Rigg’s is being his lay next to me on ,my shoes self.
Just another lazy day for him at the Weeb Ranch. Donna made a great pancake breakfast for us this morning, I may have to have a nap after that, Some time this week I will have to drain the water lines on Chappy and blow them out with air, then I put a gallon of pink antifreeze in each tank and some in each “P’ trap, that will winterize her before out next trip. We still haven’t figured out if we will make a winter trip south, Donna is fighting her breathing problem, and I am having occasional balance problems which I think is being caused by the amount medication I am taking for my feet.
Not much else going on here, we enjoy reading about all our friends travels, although we don’t comment much, we are out here and a part of your travel and winter excitement.
It’s been another week, and the morning and day temperatures are coming down a little 50’s in the morning and upper 60’s in the afternoon, been some cloudy days in there so Fall is arriving here in Dardenne Prairie. Got some pictures from my New Jersey Grand's.

AS I posted last week I ordered a flash for my Canon camera. A neweer tt560 speedlight from Amazon for $32.99.
This is a great buy and it works great, the Canon Speedlight was in the $250 range and this will do anything that the Canon will.
Took a bunch of test shots and the pictures were great.
Rigg’s and Charlie wanted equal time so here’s a couple from the.
Went down to the Dardenne Prairie City Hall to sign papers this morning to have our property annexed into the city, the previous owners never did that. So now after the next Council meeting we will officially Dardenne Prairieites.
That’s about it for today, Hope all is well with all our friends. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna…..
