Boy did the last two days go by fast, Saturday, we just lazed around the house with little projects and then Donna had to go to the restaurant at 04:00pm until close. besides doing some reading that was it for the day. Not much got accomplished after the boss was gone. Sunday turned out to be a great day, Donna made us a great Sunday breakfast, I ordered a Bacon & Cheese omelet and it was great. Didn't need a lunch after a breakfast like that. Then it was Rigg's day this afternoon as we surprised him with a trip to the St Charles County Doggie Park, come on along.
Oh Boy, Mom & Dad, the Gang's here.
Mom, Throw the toy..
I got it, I got It.
Mom he said he's a retriever too, but he's red.
How about some formation swimming with my buddy..
Oh no Mom, not up in the tree.
Wow, I'm getting tired, this swimming is hard.
Rigg's swam and swam and fetched his new toy till Mom got it stuck in a tree, Then Dad had to go to the truck and get a pole to knock it down into the water so i could fetch it some more, Hoorah for Dad.
Finally a tuckered out Black Lab went back to the truck and like the little boy he is will sleep good when he gets home.
Hope everyone out there had a good weekend. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna
I like the head shot of Rigg's and his friend. Emma wouldn't be caught dead getting herself wet like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI know Cody is getting so old that if we threw something he'd look at us as if to say, "you threw it now you go get it." ha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat concept....a dog park. We have never lived anywhere that has had a dog park.
Glad you all had fun....especially Riggs!! He will sleep good tonight. :-)

Riggens the Wonder Dog...I love him...We used to have an above the ground pool. Den would throw the "dummy" (no, not me), in the pool. Then he would make Gypsy wait until he gave the signal to go get it...And she waited! ( I tried to jump in and get ahead of her, but Den made me get out).
ReplyDeleteWow much our dear Sparky loved the water when he was younger. Now our boy is almost 15. Quite old for a lab. His hearing is almost gone, his back end has lost most of his muscle mass, his eyesight is poor. But he has a great big heart! Vet says as long as he can get up, move around and eats, there is no need to talk further.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of Riggs and friends today, Sam. He sure is a water dog! I don't think Molly and Rylie have ever gone swimming - they're landlubbers for sure!
ReplyDeleteOur 2 big guys love the water as well but the little Motormouse doesn't like to get her feet wet. I'm not a big water guy either except for my nice hot showers in the morning. Kelly is half fish!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Riggs had a great day. Our chocolate lab Sam likes the beach but won't jump in the canal at the house unless Connie or the kids are in it. Then he acts like a lifeguard.

You'll never have to give him a bath again as long as he can get out there and swim! What a handsome dog!
