T.G.I.F.

Was up and at em at 04:30AN had coffee with my bride and then she was off to the truck company and then the restaurant.

Got me coupon and papers for the DMV from the Doctors in the mail. so I headed to the License Office, ten minutes later I was walking out with my Handicapped Parking hangers for My truck and Donna’s car. The price, FREE, couldn’t believe it.

Then it was back to Walgreens with the coupon for my prescription, Burrpppp wrong this coupon gave the same price as the last one $243 a month, so I asked this Pharmacist to please call the doctor and advise them the coupon didn’t work and we couldn’t afford the original that isn’t covered under our insurance plan, One hour later I was walking out with a generic three months supply, the cost $24 for three months , quite a difference. It only took three trips by me and two by my wife to finally get my pain relief medicine. Exactly one week from Friday to Friday.

Waiting now for Nicole to get home from school, Don’t know if she will be staying here or at her dad’s, it’s hard to keep up with who’s weekend it is.

Adam is going to spend the weekend I will be going out to Warrenton in a little bit to pick him up.

Not much else happening. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna…

  2. So glad you got your pain relief meds at last.

We end up with similar hassles here.

Although we have a Government funded medical system there are many things not covered and there is always some fee or other waiting. We do not always even have the best medication available and people have to jump through hoops and pay excessively if that's what they need.

I'm due for a Drs visit and top up medication this coming week. I hope I don't have the trial you've just been through.

Meantime it's a cool cloudy Saturday. Not much summer going on here.

    Blessings.

  3. See, ya just needed to put on your "game face" (as our cop son-in-law calls it), put some pursuit music on in the truck and get assertive!! You GO, Chief Weibel!!

  4. It never ceases to amaze me, even in Canada, that the doctors bill is taken care of but not what they prescribe. Doesn't make any sense to me.

  5. I don't know what is going on with prescription service today, but I hear of lots of folks who are having troubles of one sort or another, including me. I'm glad you finally got your pain meds straightened out. Whatever is causing it, people can have serious effects from their problems getting prescriptions. In my case recently, I went without the prescribed eye drops for several days. That could have a permanent effect on how much of my vision I get back, and it just doesn't seem fair.

  7. Looking at the faces of sick people lined up to get their prescriptions...

how much of it is from their illness?
and how much of it from the hassles of the insurance companies???

  8. Ditto what Karen said. We finally gave up getting Russ's test strips thru the insurance. Cheaper to buy the Walmart generic ones...and a lot less hassle. Glad you finally got your meds.
