Up at 04:30AM with my bride, she had coffee and I abstained. My son left a note that the clothes dryer is not working. he said he checked the breaker in main panel.
I went down and got my meter and checked for power at the 220 socket and there is power to the dryer lead. I took the cover off the top box and there are a zillion wires, but I couldn’t see a fuse or circuit breaker that would cut off power to everything.
I guess I will have to find out how old it is when Donna gets home and then call and see what a repair normally costs, or if it is time for a new one.
Adam came in and said he wanted to go back home to Warrenton since he found out his friend Brandon will not be home all week so he won’t have him to run with and play. I said that is up to you, your Dad will be disappointed. so he called his other Grandpa who just moved in with them and Russ came and picked him up.
I pretty much bummed around the house and looking at the dryer was about it for my day. I may see if there is a website on troubleshooting Whirlpool dryers and see what they say might cause it to quit. There are no clicks or anything to show you are getting any power to anything inside it. I saw a couple of relays inside but couldn’t here them clicking when I threw the switches.
It was another gorgeous day, sunny with a temp of 83 by mid afternoon.
Not much going on, everyone be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
Hope you are able to troubleshoot and figure out what is wrong with your dryer. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this nice spring weather!!
Glad the warm weather has stayed with you, sure makes it nice to be outside. Hope you can solve the dryer problem easily.
ReplyDeleteIf you are really looking for something to do, come on out here in Austin. They have me cutting grass. LOTS AND LOTS OF GRASS. Should could use you and your John Deere.
ReplyDeleteCome on, Sam...share a little of that sunshine!! We had some snow here yesterday, and today it's cold and windy and wet!! No fun outside, and there are things I need to get done! I ate a cinnamon roll for breakfast this morning, and took an insulin shot right after that. Donna ate her's last night, so I had to finish this one off. It was my duty! Good luck with the dryer.
