Was up at 06:00AM for coffee, Donna slept in so I got Rigg’s and him nap in the guest room. Adam must have stayed up late because he slept in too. When Donna got up I told her it was too cold and cloudy to make a trip to try to photograph the eagles today, They usually stay in MO until the end of Feb. so we may still have some time left.
Adam s enjoying his stay and playing games and talking with his friend on the games, He wears a headset with a microphone while he is playing.
Donna got some rest today, and now she is starting supper, Fried dead chicken, Stuffing, and a vegetable.
Boy I am glad she is home from the restaurant. I don’t have to cook tonight. Evidently when I upgraded to Windows 8 it did something to Skype, now when ever I try to make a skype video call the minute I click on the Video call button the screen goes blue and I get an error saying and error has occurred and the computer is rebooting, When it reboots all is well until you try to use the video call, then it does the reboot again, The skype program runs but it just won’t let me make calls. I deleted the program and re downloaded it and reinstalled it. but it is the same. If anyone else has had this problem let me know if there's a fix.
It is cold today and cloudy here at the Ranch, the high is around 40 degrees. I can’t wait to see if we get the early spring the groundhog predicted.
Not much doing, just waiting for the week to go by and Donna to head for the hospital, it will be Friday at 01:00PM. They called yesterday when they got the arrangements made.
I guess that’s about it for today I am being overcome by the smell of chicken frying. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
Hi Sam & Donna...haven't been reading blogs like I used to...was concerned when you said that Donna was having surgery so had to read through this weeks post. We will be praying for both of you.
ReplyDeleteI do understand having the mind run away with thoughts. A couple of nights ago Ron and I were talking - he asked me if something happened to me did I want him to have me cremated or buried and if so, where? Remember we are in Missouri right now but home is WA State. I don't know where the questions came from but we had a long talk. I went to bed a little after 7:30 p.m. ~ just not feeling right...I laid there and prayed and prayed some more. It was a weird feeling that I was having. When I woke in the morning I was so happy to be alive...and thanked the Man above for another day. All this to say I understand a mind going down paths that are not fun or even to think about. We will definitely keep you in our prayers and I will stay on top of your posts. Have a blessed weekend. Your friends in Branson.
Hey Sam. We took Therapy out for a little run yesterday chasing the patchy sunshine. Drove right past a big bald eagle sitting up in a tree next to the freeway. Didn't register with me as a bald eagle until we were almost past! It was Big and the white head unmistakable. Went past it before we could even grab the camera. We did find a little sunshine so it was a good day outing. You take care of yourself, now and enjoy the Superbowl tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI think your "go to " man for computer stuff is definitely Rick the guru...He is " da man" for this stuff...Tell Donna we are thinking of her..it's good she is home...a little r&r won't hurt at this point...and kisses from the Riggs.
ReplyDeleteGlad that's a dead chicken Donna is frying up and not a live one!! I haven't made fried chicken in years - now you got me thinking about it. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe will be thinking of you on Friday....good luck and hope all goes well and you'll be going down the road before too long on that wonderful 'retirement' trip.
ReplyDeleteKeep us informed. I don't comment too much but I read 'em all.
Hope you enjoyed that fried chicken!
