Was up and had coffee with my bride at 04:30AM . Then she was off to the truck company and Rigg’s and I were in for our morning nap which ended up for me being just watch a train movie as I haven’t been sleeping well, Rigg’s however was snoring away.
In the middle of the morning the gutter guys came and started the job of replacing all the rain gutters on the house, they started at about 10:30AM and were done by 3:30PM. Then the UPS guy cam and boy was Rigg’s happy, They delivered his new harness just like the Seal dogs wear. He is beside himself and couldn’t wait to get it on and have me fit it to him.
Of course he wanted to show it off to all his doggie friends, Especially his girlfriends, Jody, Coco, & Sandy.
It’s got three D rings, one on each side and one on top and a walking grip to keep him close.
I was wondering about the side rings and I found out they attach to a harness the handler wears and are used if you jump out of a plane or helicopter to keep the dog next to your body. I don’t think Rigg’s will be using that feature.
Two more days to sit around here and sweat it out, With the milder weather I should take Rigg’s and go look for a spot to shoot some train pictures just to kill time.
It was a nice sunny day again today with a high of 52 which it is right now at 04:00PM.
Tonight I decide we will gorge our self's on ham steak and maybe some corn fritters, or potatoes if we don’t have enough corn in the pantry, I forgot we have used a lot of it in the last couple weeks.
Not much else going on around here at the Ranch the gutters are the biggy today.
Hope everyone is having a great week, and please be careful out there. Sam & Donna…….
Hey, Sam. I finally got the garbage cans rolled out last night, and they emptied them today, so another Wednesday is in the books. Patches of sun here today. Hope you're not thinking of teaching Riggs to jump out of planes, now. You would have to go with him, you know!
ReplyDeleteI think you ought to field test those D rings just to see how they work.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Sam,
ReplyDeleteRiggs looks great in his Seal outfit!!! You know you used to enjoy jumping out of those hecktocoters(daddy wouldn't let us say h..l)!!! Let Riggs show off to the girlfriends, he can't do anything!!! Adam can use those handles and let Riggs pull him on his bike; or you can let him haul that big trashcan to the street!!!
We've invoked God's care and blessings for Donna, so don't worry about her!!!
Tell Riggs he looks very spiffy in his new halter. I'm sure he will get more girlfriends now. I know this waiting is really hard. This time next week it will be over with and all be well and good again.
ReplyDeleteA number one service critter now!
ReplyDeleteI would give anything for real, honest-to-goodness rain gutters. My house has those tiny little RV curved things that the rain overflows and runs everywhere. Riggs is such a nice looking dog. Reminds me of my dog Smoky, but I put a backpack on him rather than a harness.
ReplyDeleteTell Riggs the girls love a guy in uniform. Now all he needs is a hat. Take care and remember you have lots of folks out here praying for you and Donna.
