Well it’s Friday and I was up and had my coffee with Donna. Then she was off to the truck company and then the restaurant. I believe then she will be off until Wednesday morning.
Our company should arrive tomorrow, we are watching their progress as they blog west across Ohio, Indiana,& Illinois. They are taking it at a much more leisurely pace than I did last December when I raced a snowstorm home from Pa. and drove from 05:30AM EST until 07:00PM CST. 980miles in 14 1/2 hours. Needless to say I now look forward to all of our future journeys to be in the 300 mile max a day range where you can sit back and enjoy the ride.
Hopefully we will have a few pictures for tomorrows blog.
Everyone be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
Its nice not to have to hit it so hard when your traveling,,,,But I love to drive and I love to get up early......I can hit the road at 7 or 7:30 and get 400 miles under my belts and be all set up by 4pm....Pieace of cake. In a few weeks I'll be doing just that headed to Tallahassee, FL to see kids, grandkida and great grandkids....ffun, fun, fun!!
ReplyDeleteThey are getting closer ~ bet you guys are excited too!
ReplyDeleteHave fun
Donna
Three hundred miles in a day is just about perfect!
ReplyDeleteOkay - we need to have a talk. Even 300 miles a day is too many. But 980 is incredible. Even when we left Montana to outrun a snowstorm we didn't cover that much territory. Glad you made it okay. Just remember the 2-2 rule. 200 miles or 2:00 p.m. whichever comes first - then you stop for the night or week or month. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteI remember that race you did last year...don't EVER do that again...you have your home on wheels...Just pull over and get some rest.
ReplyDeleteHa! Our normal is 120 miles a day...! There is too much to stop and see!
ReplyDeleteI remember you're blog about that trip home Sam and was happy to hear you'd made it safely.
ReplyDeleteWe generally like to travel about 200 to 250 miles in a day while rving.
