Here we are on Sun day morning. already, We were up both day at about 06:00AM My pretty bride Donna had her coffee and I had a cup of soda. Still have a nagging cough but it seems a little better each day.
Donna and I just sat around the house yesterday until it was time for her to go to work. The kid’s were gone this weekend so we had the nest to ourselves.
This morning there were cinnamon buns to start the day, boy what a bride I have. About 08:00AM the phone rang and it was somebody from the restaurant calling in sick, since so many people have covered for Donna’s sickness, she said sure she would work the day shift so at 09:30 AM she was out the door to the restaurant.
Talk about Spring weather it is 02:45PM and Sunny,78 degrees here at the ranch. I think Spring had arrived here in Dardenne Prairie. The last three days have been at least 70 and the next four days are projected to be in the mid 70’s. Hopefully it will stay warm for when our guest’s arrive from Texas on the 14th of April.
Our blog friends AL & KELLY passed through our area on their emergency drive to get home for Uncle Harry’s funeral. We feel their loss and maybe next time in the St Louis area they can make a stop at the Ranch, Have a safe remainder of your trip Al & Kelly.
The tree’s are budding, I just noticed out Bradford pear has budded out, boy that poor thing has had a rough life, a lightening and wind storm took down half of it a couple year ago, but it is trying for a comeback. The bush’s in front are showing white. Sure signs that spring is at hand.
Hopefully tomorrow I will go out and about for the first time in a week. Just have to get rid of the cough and sinus drainage.
That’s about it for today, we sure hope everyone is having a fine day. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna………
My sinus's have been giving me grief with all the pollen in the air here in the desert. I can't breath most of the time. Sure hope you feel better. When do you head out?
