Saturday at home.

Well for the first time in a bunch of weeks Sam is home for the weekend, got word from Mike at the bus company that he would be going on a 7day trip to Panama City Fla. on the 6th of May. Anytime he heads south he is a happy man. Donna took an extra shift this morning at the restaurant so one of the other girls could have off, she will work a morning shift , 10:00am till after the lunch run, the come back at 05:00Pm and close. Luckily she is off tomorrow because she will be a whipped puppy tonight.
How about some more of the cars in Sam’s life.

Donnas76JeepCherokeeA
Donna’s 1996 Jeep Cherokee, she loved this car, 4 wheel drive, straight six, she literally wore it out, Then they stopped making them.
Sam's88FordXLTPUa
Sam, had a 1988 Ford XLT 1.2 ton for a short time ,he bought it to pull the travel trailer , but it had a lot of miles on it when he got it and ended up being the only vehicle he ever had with motor trouble, it had a 351m in it and developed a hole in the drivers side rear piston. Later we found out that was a common trouble with that engine.
Wish I could find pictures of my first two cars, my first was a 1955 Chevy Bel-Air 210 2 dr sedan, it was a six automatic, but it was good transportation. From that I went to a 1961 Chevy Impala SS convertible, it had a 409 with and automatic, After I went in the Navy my Granddad traded it in , and I later found out their were only a couple thousand SS models made at the end of the 61 model year to get the 409 engine into the Daytona 500 as a production engine, Imagine what it would be worth today. I’ll also have to look for pictures of the 1965 Rambler Marlin, and the 1968 Ply Fury III convertible I had. I guess I could add to the list a 1979 Plymouth Horizon, and a 2002 Ford Probe Donna drove to work, and a 1970 Ford Country Squire wagon with a 426ci engine that we had at one time.
Remember when you traded cars like that.
Well that will keep some of the car buffs busy, I haven’t mentioned motorcycles and dune buggies.
Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

  1. Thanks for posting all the pics of your old cars - brought back a lot of good memories for me. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of my old cars, too bad, as I used to own some nice ones including a '55 Chevy. You're right about that old Impala - it would be worth quite a bit today!
