T.G.I.F.

Up at 04:30AM and had coffee with the bride, then she was off to the truck company and then the restaurant.

No school for Nicole today so she was off to her Dad’s for his weekend. Chris stayed here with Andy & I, kinda like a mans day.

It was sunny until about noon then it clouded up and drizzled off and on, but the temps stayed around 50 so no complaints here.

Ever wonder what all those teachers do on these days when they have conferences and the kid’s are off. I hope they have the forethought to hold those conferences in a bar.

Rigg’s and Sadie had a good day playing and going in & out.

That’s about it for today. It’s pizza night at the ranch so I will be making a large pizza for Andy, Chris & I. Samantha is at work. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna..

  1. I taught for 32 years and inservice days were the worst. The so-called experts didn't have a clue about our local school's issues. We once had a speaker who was a supervisor in an area where the pass rate on state tests was 43 % and ours was 99 %. We should have been teaching her how to teach the material ! Our favorite activity was to make up our own bingo card with all the expected "buzz words" and mark them off - the winner got treated to a lunch on the next "professional" day.

  2. Unlike the first commenter, the teachers I had in my school made good use of those days improving the program for our alternative kids. It's sad to hear that their favorite activity was their form of Bingo. I guess that person was the perfect teacher and not in need of support or improvement, although I don't care for the bingo attitude.

  5. I've forgotten - do you have a doggie door or are you getting lots of exercise letting Rigg's and Sadie in and out.

  6. You sure have a nice Friday night tradition. Of course, pizza is always good.

  7. No doggy door,I must let the two of the out 20 times a day, if Rigg's was any bigger I would get him an opener to put his paw on and let him use the garage, but I would still have to put them on our run cable , no dog gets out loose unless I am with them since Heidi got killed. Sam......
