First things first we have a new follower,OSAGE BLUFF QUILTER and she has a blog by the same name, all you quilters drop by and take a look and thank you for becoming my 101 follower, I hope you enjoy following the antics here at the Weeb Ranch.
Up early Donna got off to the truck company, and Grandpa got Nicole off to school in Augusta Mo. Spent the morning waiting for UPS to deliver my $25 Dell docking station for my latitude, they got it here about noon and it works just fine.
Tomorrow I will have to watch for the Fed-EX guy they are supposed to deliver Donna’s new Dell Inspiron Laptop on the 5th. So Between me and the dogs I don’t want to miss him as they require you to sign for it.
What I really like about the docking station is it allows you use a regular keyboard and that alone makes putting out the blog a lot easier for my big bumblefingers. The Latitude doesn’t recognize a usb keyboard, and it didn’t have a round keyboard slot.
Okay the mandatory weather talk, yesterday we were at 90 at 05:00PM and the low last night was 60. From about 07:00AM this morning the temperature dropped to a high of 48 today and the low is supposed to be 28 degrees tonight, Then over the next three days the temps are supposed to get into the 60 & 70s during the day and the 40 & 50s at night, which is normal April MO weather.
I am probably going to wait another week to dewinterize. just don’t want to take a chance on another hard freeze.
Looks like Karen& Steve RV:ING SMALL HOUSE BIG BACKYARD are finally on the move toward home after spending 4 days standing on the corner in Winslow AZ. waiting for a flatbed ford being driven by a girl to deliver there fuel injector. I hope they get a chance to stop by again as they cross the country back to Wisconsin, Maybe there snow will be over too.
Also looks like Rick & Paulette will be heading back to British Columbia after a nice warm stay in Palm Springs CA.
We will have visitors, hopefully at the end of the week, Steve & Karen, and then in May about the 14th Phyllis & Len-EAST MEETS WEST will be stopping and leaving their fiver at our place while they fly from St Louis to New Jersey to visit family, when they come back a week later they will hang around a week or so with us and look around St Louis. I’m also hoping JUDY & EMMA- TRAVELS WITH EMMA will be able to visit either when she is coming across to Illinois in May or we will visit her &Emma when they get situated in Illinois.
So we are planning on having company and then taking all the Grandkids to Pigeon Forge TN for a vacation week of camping.Probably in late June.
So there are some plans for the next couple of months. A cold day in Dardenne Prairie MO. Not much else doing. Hope everyone is having a fine week. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
You are wonderful grandparents....But make sure you and your bride get a little weekend in that camper too!!!:-)
ReplyDeletewhat fun! We only saw Pigeon Forge driving through one year in December. I'll look forward to your stories.
ReplyDeleteanother great Monday in your world!!..hope it warms up enough that you can get the de-winterizing done and think about heading out on the open road!!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for the shout out! 101 seems like a good number.
ReplyDeleteWe too are campers, just not on a big scale yet. We bought an adorable Albino mouse turd last fall, AKA a 16 ft Casita. I have some links to my blog post, if you look at my side bar and click on the Casita ones.
We also have a black lab, yours looks so much like our Bentley.
So you went to August today, I love that town. We have friends in New Melle, and we use to go antique in August years ago.
Have a great week!
Patti
Sounds like lots of visiting for you in the next few weeks. Enjoy your time with friends.
ReplyDeleteSam, It is great how you network with the other bloggers with your links! Thanks.
