Hi, it’s Donna…Sam is taking nap and designated me as the author today…so bear with me.
Yesterday Mary aka Natasha and Paul aka Boris, who travel in Bullwinkle, gave a seminar on The Myths of Full Timing. Very informative and given in a humorous style that kept your attention. They are both very good speakers. Paul was a financial planner in his stix and bricks days and gave a very realistic eye opening approach to the cost factors… Well done Mary and Paul
MARY AND PAUL
Last night was Happy Hour at Ken and Angela’s before we went to the Mathewson Center for the nightly gathering. When we arrived at their place poor Max had been banned from Happy Hour, his full name is Mad Max and he is a very exuberant beagle. Just ask Riggs, Max is a great dane in a beagles body. Annie always the lady greeted everyone with quiet dignity. We had to be inside as the winds almost blew petite Angela into the next county and we knew the chips didn’t stand a chance. As usual lots of laughs and good times. P.s. Max was finally allowed to join us and after getting lots of pets and kisses he settled down, well almost (as long as Ken had him on a lead).
Donna, Ken, Angela, Len, Phyllis
We stuffed ourselves with snacks and off to the nightly drawing. :-( Our gang won nothing. Ken and Angela stayed for the nightly entertainment Ham a Rama, amateur hour with RV’ers as talent.
Since Riggs stayed home and did his impersonation of a guard dog this is what he did after he knew he was off duty.
Today was the Pet Parade. There were tons of dogs there all shapes and size from miniature pomps to greyhounds.
Now this is the way to go on a hot day !
UNCLE SAM AND DOGGIE SAM ALMOST IN LEAD
ANNIE, ALWAYS THE LADY
Many dressed up. Seems that more photos were taken of Riggs than the other dogs, I know he got the most laughs. You see Riggs has no modesty.
RIGGS SHOWING OFF HIS COSTUME

This afternoon is the closing ceremony and then a dance tonight. Rally over. We are going to leave on Saturday and avoid the mass exodus that will be Friday.

Way to go Riggs. You are a winner. Great shirts. I really was sorry to miss Mary and Paul's seminar. I figured it would be a good one.
ReplyDeleteRiggs sure got alot of attention with his costume. P.S we wont tell Mad Max that Annie has a new boyfreind!!!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking Riggs should have stayed at the rig two sites down from us. The sign out in front of their rig told us they were members of the BUFF Birds of a Feather group of Escapees. Or as they say - Birds without Feathers.
ReplyDeleteIt's been great meeting up with you again. Hope to keep in touch and see ya again. We will be out of here early - hoping. Meeting friends for lunch up in New Florence. MO who live nearby up there.
Great costume Riggs!!! I bet that pet parade was a lot of fun. Nice to hear from you Donna.
ReplyDeleteSaw your post on Tony Hillerman on Good Luck Duck - the main characters are members of the Navajo police. I've read all the books - they're excellent!
ReplyDeletestill awake till the very end, Donna!..good job..would have loved to hear Paul and Mary's seminar!
ReplyDeleteLike Sue & Doug, I would liked to have heard what those folks had to say about, The Myths Of Full Timing.
ReplyDeleteI like the way Riggs rolls with his costume...Donna, it is so great you got a taste of the RV life again...You and Sam need to do that more often!
