Monday Happenings

What a misnomer of a title, besides the usual up and at and checking both the Scranton & St Louis Metro Obits to make sure my name isn’t there, that way I know I am still a day ahead in the game. Today there were no real happenings around the Weibel home, Wendy did put about 4 hours at her desk catching up with payroll and other stuff for the company she does the accounting for. She said she felt pretty good and no discomfort from her foot as long it it is kept elevated. I am hoping next week the cast will come off and the boot will go on then the tough stretch will start with therapy and building it back up again, I am still hoping for the week before Christmas to be able to head home.

I sure hope Adam & Rigg’s are being good boys because I keep thinking about what kind of surprises I will be bringing back from Pa.
That’s about it for now it will be right at freezing tonight, I think the PA. winter is about to start, wouldn’t surprise me to see snow in the next two weeks, we aren’t that far from New York State and they always have an early snow. Just glad the truck has new tires all around and is 4 wheel drive. Be safe out here. Sam & Donna.

  1. And I will NOT MISS the northeast winters this year.

Think of you lots. ESPECIALLY SINCE WE ARE ABOUT 100 FEET FROM A TRAIN TRACK AND THE TRAIN GOES THROUGH ABOUT EVERY 45 MINUTES. DAY AND NIGHT!!!!!!

  2. Read an obituary yesterday for a Margaret Nelson. My full name is Margaret Alice Nelson Workentin (nelson is maiden name). Took me for a minute when I saw it. Hubby said good thing her last name wasn't Workentin.

I check the obits too. Just something I do.

Take care and hope you have a blessed day!

  3. We have our fingers crossed the snow will hold off until long after we are gone.

  4. Shall I giggle or laugh out loud.

Summer is on the way. No more frost. The freezing wind from the antarctic will be warmed up a bit. The sun will shine. The rain will fall and we'll play on the beach. Lots of smiles.

TWJ and I have had short separations, no more than 3 weeks. I can't imagine being separated now although there might have been a time or two when I thought it would be a good idea. No matter what the purpose it isn't easy to be away from home.

I bet Wendy is so glad to have you there and not looking forward to being on her own again.

    Blessings to you all.

  5. With 4 wheel drive and new tires, you should be o.k. if you get a bit of snow, Sam. Hope you don't though.

  6. Glad Wendy is coming right along with her healing. It will be nice for you to be able to get back to Donna and Riggs.
