This s mostly a test of Live Writer to see if it is working, another blogger posted they were having trouble with, said he thought is was an issue with Windows, since  am running Windows 8.1  decided to see what is up.
Yesterday we took Rigg’s to the Vet for his checkup and to get a certificate that will allow his travel  into Canada. He is in good shape and got several shots,to update him.
Today will be Max the Duramax’s turn I will be taking him in for an oil change. filter and lube so he is ready to travel. He has spent most of his time since our last outing in the garage.
Have to start stocking the fiver’s fridge today.Other than that not much is going on today. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna

Thursday Happenings.

Well Donna and I just got back from picking up my a new set of hearing aids. I hadn’t been wearing any for a couple of years since one of my old ones quit and they were making my ears hurt. Of course Donna didn’t like me not hearing, so she finally talked me into going and trying the latest an greatest new hearing aid technology. After the audio exam the doctor said my ears have gotten a lot worse since my previous exam, but that they could still match a set up for me. I must say these seem to be clearer and no background noise or squeals like my old ones. Time will tell. Now  will just have to remember to take them out before swimming or showers.Donna is happier, so that is what counts. We are counting down the day before our trip. We will leave the first of June and spend two days in Sandwich Il visiting with the Cave’s. Then go up to Union IL for a couple of days and see the Illinois Railroad Museum. After that we will head to Indiana to visit our Niece and Nephew, then down to Westerville Oh. to visit another Niece and Nephew, after that it will be on to Cincinnati to visit Donna’s brother, and then we will head east to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. AS I told Donna if she gets tired we will just sit an extra day or two. We would like to head into New York state and then head west to Niagara Falls NY, Don’t know about Canada yet.

When we get back we may take a couple weeks and just local camp in Mo.

Not much else going on, Hope all is well with all our friends. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna…

Thursday Happenings.

Wow can’t believe it’s been a week since our last post, Time flies when your having fun. We have had great weather lots of sun, temperatures have worked their way into the 80’s.Yesterday Donna closed the house up and turned on the A/C. We are slowly trying to put together plans for our trip, so far Donna is looking at the RV Atlas, besides stops at relatives, she has added Niagara Falls, she has never been there, I went with my Grandparents when I was very young.
How about some TBT’s.

Yesterday I replaced the gas line on my generator, it had developed a crack over the winter and leaked when I went to start it, what a job to change it, to get at the carburetor end I had to remove the air cleaner  wth a total of 5 bolts and two nuts. What ever happened to a wing nut.Got it all back together and the starter wouldn’t turn over,so I just pull started it , it started on the second pull. Then I hitched my new 100lb air compressor to it and ran it 30 minutes with the air lines open like it said and then I closed the air valves and built up to 100psi and shut off just like it was supposed to. So now I have an air supply right in my truck. I bought the compressor at Harbor Tools. It was marked down from $79 to $62.99, then I had a coupon for the same compressor for $39.99 and another coupon for 20% off my total purchase. What a deal even with tax it was barely $39.
Between having the generator, the compressor, and a 5 gallon container of diesel fuel I should have several of life’s little emergencies covered for the trip. That’s about it for today, all our friends be safe out there. Sam & Donna……
