Scranton at last.

We arrived yesterday afternoon in Scranton, Sam’s hometown, we are driveway docking in my cousin Sam and Miriam Genett’s driveway. what a beautiful place, this home used to be my Grandfather and Grandmothers house. Sam & Miriam have completely rehabbed and landscaped the lace and it is really a work of art. Here are a few pictures.

The weather has been in the 60’s at night and high 70’s during the day, no air conditioner needed. Sam G. has a miniature Doberman about Sadie's size and a fenced in yard so Rigg’s has a playmate and room to run. My sister Wendy came down for a visit last night and we all sat on the patio and talked and had a couple of cocktails. Donna went in early has she was having a hard day with her breathing.but the rest of us stayed up until after 10:00PM.

We  plan on staying about a week before heading north in to New York State and then to Niagara Falls. Then a side trip into Ontario Canada for a couple days, leaving the trailer in Niagara Falls. We have now been on the road for a month and it feels good to be out.

That’s about it for today, hope all is well with all our friends ,be safe out there. Sam & Donna……

  1. Isn't it wonderful to have no time table or big schedule you have to follow??

  2. Looks like you have a great spot there. Nice that you are able to stay at the house that used to be your grandparent's, I think that is pretty cool.

Wow time flies, I can't believe it has been a month already. So happy you are taking it slow and enjoying your time with family and friends.

  3. Yes you sure got a great spot,it must be very exciting to come again after years to the place your Grandma and Grandpa lived...enjoy the rest of your trip, I am happy you are doing it,best regards
