Sunday Notes.

Got up to a cool 47 degrees with the high projected to be 60, looks like fall weather has arrived, lots of su8nshine though just cool. Donna went in for the day shift at the restaurant, and Rigg’s and I sat around. Andy and Samantha went to the flea market in Wentzville. and brought home a neat doggie tent that they picked up for $7. Rigg’s will have his own tent, when he goes camping now, Andy likes to tent camp still so we will have plenty of room for the pooches.
Now about a neat Navy shot.
F-14 Tomcat pops the sound barrier.
F-14 Tomcat pops the sound barrier, the F-14 crew on right is lording over the F-18A crew on the right, because they couldn’t do it. The new super hornet F-18F has bigger power plants and will easy pop the sound barrier at ground level.
Not much else going on today, just waiting for Donna to get home, Everyone be safe out there. Sam & Donna……

  1. We got to see them break the sound barrier off the flight deck of the USS JFK when we took at parent cruise with Kelly in 1990..It broke the windows out of the helicopters sitting on the deck..amazing!!

    1. Tell me about broken green house covers,(upper windows, we found out if we put masking tape in and x across them, they might not break, During firepower demos's for big shots they would have two at once that would pop through and pass the bow and then after they would be almost to the horizon, the sonic boom and then the noise of the engines. Quite a sight you remember it all your life.
