Monday Meanderings.

Was up at 04:30AM and had coffee with my Bride and then she was off at 05:30AM to the truck company, so she didn’t get to see our company off this morning.
GLENDA & JEFF arrived last night around 06:00PM and parked their Casita right in front of one of our Garage doors which was great as we had an electric cord waiting,
After a cocktails we enjoyed a Spaghetti & Meatball dinner and then spent an hour or so just gabbing in the kitchen, talk about life's coincidence’s Jeff is an Air force Vet who spent his time in Rescue Helicopters, and Glenda spent 8 years in the US Navy. boy talk about hearing the rotor blades flash. The big surprise was we found out that Glenda and Sam share a birthday, April 1st 1948. Wow, Glenda said she was born at 11:30AM but I think I was born at 11;30PM so she may be 12 hours older.
It is always as they say so nice to be able to put a face, with a name from your blogger friends, well maybe not my face. But we really enjoyed their visit even though it was far to short this time around.

                  Saying SEE Ya this morning.
All to soon as always happens it was time to say See Ya, as they headed down the road to Kansas City, but not before a promise to stop again in their travels and spend a few days here at the ranch.
Today turned out to be a sunny but cold day, here at the ranch not supposed to get out of the 40’s today but the sun makes it a lot cheerier than yesterday.
Hope this finds everyone having a good week, and please be safe out there. Sam & Donna…….

  1. Glenda and Jeff are lucky to have sampled some of the Weibel Ranch hospitality...I do love those little Casitas...I think I could do that if the need arose...But tents?...not so much.

    1. After 4 yrs of ownership & 17 months living full time, we're still so happy with our little 'egg'. It's a dependable, rugged little trailer. We've managed to each find our alone time & have all the conveniences we want.

  4. You are the king of hospitality Sam. Looks like a great dinner and I'm sure new friendships were made. Sure like the looks of their dog. She reminds me of the Norwegian Elkhound we had when our kids were little.

    1. The first dog I had as an adult was an Elkhound. They're great dogs but bigger than Keeshonds. Kira was the runt of the litter & we were hoping she'd stay on the 'small' side, but we must've fed her too well cause she's long-legged, very fuzzy at 30#.

  7. Such great thanks to Sam & Donna for giving us 'shelter' in the storm! I was a nervous wreck driving thru St Louis in the dark to a new location, rain blowing sideways, & cars swooshing all around us. Jeff's semi driver skills sure came in handy. I'd have pulled over somewhere & waited out the storm. Sure luv the Maps app on my Droid.

Anyway, we had a fantastic but short time. We all cud've talked for many more days before winding down! It was a gorgeous day to hit the road but had a head wind getting to KC.
