Wednesday Musings.

Was up at 04:30AM with my bride and had coffee, Then Rigg’s and I took a quick nap, and then I had to jump in the rain locker, and get ready for a 09:00AM Doctors. appointment. My every three months checkup and oil& filter change. I swear they draw 4 quarts of blood out of me every three months. After the normal look see, Dr. Steve said all looked well and my numbers were still good, so he would see me in 3 months or 3000 miles.

Went to the hobby shop on the way home and got a couple of train magazines, haven’t been there in ages.

Then it was back home before I spent any more money. Donna has the restaurant duty tonight, so I will have to see if Nicky is coming over after school to decide what to make for supper. That is normally the big decision of the day.

Don’t know if I mentioned it before but a few days ago another guy my my Navy Days found me on Facebook, hard to believe it’s been 40 years ago and all of us are in our middle 60’s now.

Another cloudy cool day, it won’t reach 50 degrees today, but no rain. I told the Doctor today I miss being out at the Lake no matter how hot it was and soaking all day in the water.

Heard from my kid’s that it is snowing on the Jersey coast where they just rode out the storm. Just what they need. I just hope the power stays on.

Be safe out there, Sam & Donna…….

  1. Hey Sam, just wondered what brand of filter and oil the doc. recommended for you. If you work at it a bit, you might hit that 3,000 mile mark before the next change is due. Enjoy those train magazines.

  2. Love the train magazines. When I was still in Hannibal I used to spend one weekend a month down at Glencoe playing on the WF&P railroad. Still love trains.
