Monday Meanderings.

Was up at 04:30AM and had coffee with my bride, then she was off to the truck company and Rigg’s and I had a nap.

Before I forget I want to WELCOME a new follower RICK, it doesn’t show a blog for him as yet, but if he gets one we will let you know. Rick I hope you enjoy the antics of the Weibel crew here at the Ranch and when we do head out for a trip in April. The number says you are number 168, although I don’t trust the numbering system since it changes occasionally.

Got a call this morning from the County Highway Dept and the nice lady said they would be out with a crew to repair my mailbox that got knocked down by the plow. She said the had a bunch of them since the snow as so heavy and wet with ice.

We may get lucky, the news this morning said the snow we were expecting and we might just get some rain and freezing rain. We’ll see what it looks like when we get up in the morning. Kansas City wasn’t so lucky and is getting hammered again.

Another Monday and February is almost over, they are going by fast, but just not fast enough, I want to get Donna retired and our trips started, Today she is stopping at the Social Security Office to file for her Social Security.

Once she gets that done I have to work on her on getting to the Post Office and getting a passport. I have had mine for awhile, but if we do get to Texas or one of the border states she will need hers to go into a border town. Plus next winter we want to join our friends Paul & Helen down in XPU-HA Mexico for the winter.

Well that’s about it for today. Hope all of our friends are well and warm. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna,

  1. Don't forget Medicare. I think I applied for it at the social security office.

  2. Not sure I would be excited about crossing our Southern border just yet, but ya gotta have that passport to go into Canada, which we love...

  3. Looks like we are going to luck out too I hope. Starting with lots of rain and then turn to snow. How much still undetermined. I know exactly what you mean, the time does go by fast but when you are wanting it to hurry it seems to poke. I can't believe our wait is almost over, down to 34 days. Seems like we have been waiting for years, but wait we have. Wow it is almost here. I hope you get to retire soon too. I know how you feel.

  4. We may not luck out, calling for 12-18" inches of snow over the next 36 hours.
