Thursday Happenings.

Was up at the usual 04:30AM and had my coffee with the most beautiful and loving bride a man could wish for. Not only that she’s smart too.

Didn’t sleep hardly at all last night, when I think of some of the things I did and the experiences I had in my life, I never thought of myself as a stress candidate, Very few bad dreams of my life. But the demons were alive and well last night. I hoped for a nap with Rigg’s when Donna left. I laid there and then went back to kitchen. Rigg’s the big lop slept till about 07:30AM. What a lucky dog.

I truly want to thank all our blogger friends for their sincere comments and prayers for Donna with her upcoming heart procedure.

I guess it should be easy for me to say , “hey they do a ton of these procedures everyday and there’s little to worry about.”. Maybe that is true I don’t have any statistic’s. But the nightmares and feeling s of dread aren’t giving up easy.

But Thanks again for thinking of us,

I am in a real mind block today, sorry, I keep thinking that maybe I should have insisted Donna retire earlier, and taken a really nice vacation this winter instead of later. At the time waiting for my birthday and getting on Medicare seemed like a good idea and would help a little financially.

Oh well hopefully this week will go by as fast like the last and we will be over the top.

I know Adam is coming for the weekend and I hope Nicky also. Donna will be in the Hospital on Friday of next week, So the kid’s won’t be able to spend that weekend. Donna took a leave last night from the restaurant so she will be home all weekend and every night next week, I think she said she is working Mon-Wed. at the truck company.

Sorry if the blog seems kinda fragmented the is how my brain has been the last couple of days. I hope everyone is having a great week and is warm. Thank you again for being  the terrific and caring people you are. And please be safe out there. Sam & Donna…

  1. Sam, I absolutely didn't get to your blog until today...highly unusual...and was so surprised to hear Donna has to have more surgery...Keep the faith, friend...Better to get that artery fixed than to have an "event"..(that's what Den's cardiologist calls a heart attack). Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family..Sure hope someone is going with you to peel you off the waiting room ceiling...Give Donna a hug for us...

  2. Sam, you have good reason to feel the way you do. Remember, feelings aren't right or wrong, they just are! When someone you love is suddenly in harms way, no matter the circumstances, you feel that you should be able to stand in front of whatever they're faced with and protect them. It's so frustrating when you can't do that. When you can't fix things, or keep things from happening it builds stress. You and Donna are both wonderful people, and you care so much about one another and your family. That makes it really tough for you right now. We care, Sam. Wish we could stand there with you. We'll do the next best thing and stand with you in spirit, by praying and sending our thoughts your way. Take care of yourself. Don't let the lack of sleep wear you down. Give our love to Donna.

    1. The most frustrating part of this whole thing is for 30 years of my life when I was on the PD people would call and need help and we knew what to do and how to help then, and now with the person dearest to me I can;t do anything.Thank you for being such good people and friends.Sam...

  3. Ditto what Russ said and I pray that you get a good night's sleep tonight. Nothing like bad dreams and sleep deprivation to make the stress levels go way up. Take care.

    1. Got a couple hours but the demons returned and I got up. I am so glad that it will only be next week and this will be over. Sam

  4. Happy to hear that Donna is taking some time off work before the operation. It will be good for her to have a bit of time to rest and relax before the operation. We are thinking of you both.
