Monday Meanderings

Was up at 04:30AM with my pretty bride for our morning coffee. Then Rigg’s and I took a nap with a train movie going.

My Niece Tammy got here last night so she will be staying until she goes home to Saicier Ms.

Today Tammy, Andy and Samantha went to the store, so we will have a good supper tonight, I think I heard Polo Alfredo and Fettuccine mentioned. That’s always a good stick to your ribs supper.

Tammy’s Shorky Buddy is glad to be back with his buddies Rigg’s and Sadie. While the kid’s were grocery shopping the three mutso’s stayed by Grandpa in the kitchen where it is safe. Sadie pestered the other two to play, but they just wanted to lay by my chair.

Have to formulate a plan to get the fiver prepared for the spring. Number one on the list is new tires, while I am doing that the wheels have to come off and the wheel bearing be repacked and the brakes checked. This will take place before any long trips, I might take it to the Lake for a weekend before that is finished. But  before a trip to Fla. it will have all the wheel and tire work done and also a thorough inspection of the underneath. Then I will feel better about a long trip. Now if I can just keep another window from falling out like the last trip down there.

Sunny day today with a high of 47, not bad for January, not much else shaking here at the Ranch hope all is well with everyone out in Blog  land. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna………

  1. I put new tires on my RV and toad back a year ago this coming Feb. It scares me to think of doing that again, it cost almost 7 grand. I hope I never have to do it again.

  2. Sam, thanks for the warning about avoiding the horseradish enema. I will bear that in mind. Hopefully, if I have any dental work done in Mexico, I can keep by butt cheeks clenched tight enough to avoid that particular problem.

  3. Russ is "cracking" me up here...We had all new tires on the Hiker this fall and still had a valve stem problem...Dennis fixed it...imagine that.

  4. Good idea to check the tires, re-pack the bearings and the undercarriage before a long trip.

  5. yep, tires are an expencive item, but they can sure ruin a good trip if they go bad.....A tire pressure monitoring system is an improtant safety item......Especially on the Trailer.....Stay Warm!!
