Tuesday Thoughts.

Up with my bride at 04:30AM and then she was off to the truck company at 05 :30AM.

We have a separate policy on the fiver with State Farm, so I called my agent and told him about the leak and floor damage, he said he wasn’t sure but it might be covered under the comprehensive section so he is turning in a  claim. At least it is a try to get some help paying for it.'

I also want to WELCOME my two newest follower’s 126 & 127. WILLIAM MCKIBBON is first, I couldn’t find a blog listed for him , you have one send us the url. Number 127 is JOLLY OLLIE ,Couldn’t find a blog for him either.

Hope you guys enjoy following the happenings and antics here at the Weeb Ranch, seems like with Rigg’s and the Grandkids there is never a dull moment.

Also the trouble with the fiver will keep us occupied and busy until the snow flies around here. Maybe I better do one more cut and put the snow plow on John Deere, that might help keep the snow away for awhile longer.

That’s about it for today. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna…..

  2. I tried to put our rotted floor through and it was denied by State Farm and they have said yes to everything else.

The damage to your floor is much more extensive (I haven't ripped up carpet, so I don't know how bad mine is yet) so maybe they'll take care of it, I HOPE SO!

    Good luck!

  7. Good Luck on the insurance claim,,,I should know if its covered or not. It depends on the policy of course. It would tell you in your policy. I just been out of the bussiness to long.(19 years) But I will say don't get your hopes up....
Now if the damage was rain and came in through a ripped hole, it would have a better chance of being covered... Leakage from within a plumbing system, I don't know. Be sure to let us know..
    Again Good Luck!

  10. I hope it will be covered, but I'm kind of doubtful. It depends on what caused the leak and how long it has been going on. Was is something that you should have noticed? Was it from lack of normal maintenance? Was the source of the water leak h idden?Usually insurance covers things that are "sudden and accidental" If a tree falls on your rv, it's sudden an accidental. Things that are damaged by lack of maintenance are generally not covered. I don't know what caused your leak but they will probably be able to tell when they look at it.

I am a retired insurance claim adjuster and I can tell you, I always looked for a way to cover a claim if possible. I know most people think insurance tries to deny claims, but at USAA we always tried to give coverage where we could. I hope State Farm works the same way.

    Good luck.

  11. Our friends had an older travel trailer that had a leak that did some considerable damage. They repaired everything (about $8,000) - I don't think the trailer was even worth that much. It was gone for months, but when it was returned the leak had been fixed. Hope you have good news from your insurance company.
