Saturday Mumblings.

Wow, I am getting a late start on this today, Got the TV stand done, Michelle’s Dad Earl came over and when I went to attach the mount to the back of the set I found out the screws were no where near going to match up, so I had to think fabrication, I got a couple of 1x2’s and drilled holes to line up with the sockets for the machine screws on the back of the flat screen, after attaching the 1x2’s. I then took 3/8 in wood screws and attached the mounting plate to the 1x2’s. then it was simply a matter of securing the mount to the desk top with my cordless drill.

After that it was time for a coffee break. Had to make a run to the grocery store, and then came back and relaxed,

Made a Tex –Mex hamburger taco helper meal for supper it was a good change of pace. one of those two beer suppers to keep the body temperature down.

With all the snow the upper Midwest is getting I have  been watching the weather closely, it looks like I might get lucky and duck the snow on Wed & Thursday, I will go as far as I can Wed so I won’t have a long distance left on Thur. Plan on doing most of my packing on Tuesday and then just have an overnight bag and the laptop to load up on Wed before I leave.

I am going to try and get some good rest Monday & Tuesday to store up for the trip, I find that works for me.

That’s about it, for today, I will be seeing you all in Mo in a few Day’s and Adam I will pick you up to spend the weekend this Friday or Saturday.

Be Safe Out There. Sam & Donna.

  3. Drive safe, Sam, don't push on too hard to get home faster. Today, we saw some awesome RR tracks at Tehachapi ( with tunnels ) and a long BNSF with 4 units picking up at Boron, most likely.
