TGIF

Up with my bride for our 04:30am coffee and c she was off to the truck company at 05:30am. I left the house at 08;00am to go to Lowes to pick up a water filter for the basement. Then I headed out to Warrenton MO. to pick up Adam at 09:00AM, no school again today because the back roads, ( non interstate) are still ice covered. Picked him up and we headed home. His Mom got the test results from the scraping they did in his intestines, and he has an abnormality in his lower intestine, he is being prescribed medication and some special diet items like Yogurt. Then in January he has to go back and they will re-evaluate him and see if he needs further action. All in all it could have been a lot worse.

Then his Dad had a surprise for him, he told him they were going show him how to make a bird house and introduce him to the manly art of wood working. That is something that Grandpa always wished he could do.

                      Rigg's demanded equal time.

While I was away right before I got back Donna's brother Pat, and sister in law, Kathy, stopped for dinner. They were heading home from a trip so she could have a biopsy done on a lump on her vocal chords. The results was it was malignant and she is going to have to start chemo and radiation. We are praying for her to improve.

This has truly been a rough year for our family with medical problems. We are praying for a better year in 2011.

Sadie is being a little braver with me but still won't take a treat and every once in a while she shoots a bark my way. I know she is watching Rigg's eat up my attention and him playing with me so I hope it won't be long, Donna said beside's my son she is skittish with all males even Samantha's son Chris.

It is so good to be home and with my Wife, Grandson, Son, and the pooches, life is good. Even if it is freezing outside. I was hoping we would be south this winter but life doesn't always work out that way and family is more important than some plans, at least my sister is doing well and now we will move forward from there.

Before I forget, Adam & I also put up the Christmas Tree today, he will sleep good tonight, and he is enjoying the Star wars hand blaster I brought him from Pa. I hope it's set for stun when he uses it on the dogs.

Hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for the holidays. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...

  1. Nice to see Adam and his dad working together on a project. Those things make great memories. Sorry to hear about Kathy - hopefully the chemo and radiation will do their job and take care of the cancer.

  10. Many hugs to Kathy and success at battling the Big C.

Love that little Adam gets all those wonderful lessons of being in a loving family environment. He is going to grow up to be a wonderful dad and someday a wonderful grandfather. All because of the examples you have set!
