Yesterday,we left Little Farm IN. about noon and arrived At Alum Creek State Park in Delaware Ohio. about 03:00PM, After setting up we explored the park a little, The way it is set up, all the sites have plenty of room in between them they are level and paved and have a big grass area and picnic table and fire pit, the rest rooms and showers houses are really clean there is 50 amp electric at all sites but no water, or sewer. All in all it is really a beautiful park. Adam went for a bike ride and met some new friend’s, had a pretty heavy rain shower about 05:00PM.and then made an easy supper, hot dogs and baked beans.
Our site #K 11.
Adam & Rigg’s are Happy Campers.
Playground about 50yards from our site.
Rest Rooms.
Rigg’s and his Buddy.
Naptime.
About 06:00PM our niece Geae came over with Dunkin the dog, Rigg’s had his playmate back for the evening, we just sat and had a cocktail, and talked until it was time for Geae to leave, they only live about 10 minutes away so after the doggie park and swim time today we will be going over to their house.
Although they advertise wi-fi there is no signal at our site, Sam asked the Ranger about it and he said you can get a strong signal up at the Ranger station and said to come up and in the mornings they have coffee on. really nice fellow.
The lake is about 50 yards behind our site but cannot be seen due to heavy growth.
So far this has really been a good week, we all sleep well after long days of fun. As I type this at 07:00am Adam is still out and Rigg’s is curled up at my feet dreaming doggie dreams with his feet becoming animated as he romps in his dreams. What a life.
Life is good, be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

Looks like you've got a perfect camping spot there. It's sure nice having all that grass for Riggs too.
ReplyDeleteSleeping well...I remember those camping days...The state park looks nice...Do they have water hydrants there so you can fill with a hose, or haul it in?? Where we camp in Thomson on the Mississippi, we stretch about a gazillion ft of hose and refill....Have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a boy & his dog. Brings back many memories for me. Wished we had some of that nice green grass in the southwest during the winter months. I envy you being out there camping. Sure beats sitting around the house all summer!!
ReplyDeleteNap time is hilarious! And remember the Addams Family show? There's that hand in the picture!
ReplyDeleteLOL!

Loved that naptime photo! Adorable! You had a really nice site - we finally have a nice site with concrete and grass after several months of mainly gravel.
ReplyDeleteGreat site with the shrubbery and trees around, so nice like your own little yard! That naptime photo is priceless and I think they are both having very good dreams about their adventures so far.
