A normal day although I missed coffee with Donna this morning, she left just as I was getting dressed and I saw her car go down the drive from the window, she has the restaurant tonight so Adam and I will be asleep by the time she comes home, Son Andy left about 06:00am and Adam slept in till 08:45am ,wow he must have been beat last night when he came in from playing with his buddies, they play until dark which is close to 09:00pm.
Soon as Adam was moving I went to Farmer Charlie's, this is one of those small town Farm supply place's that has anything you can think of from chains, to implements, to Carhartt's, Hat's ( western of course) and any tire, tube and accessory for a tractor or wagon. I needed a tube size 4.80/4.00x8 for the garden wagon, they had them in stock so I got two. might as well do both wheels and be done with it. I also saw a display for LED lights for trailers, until now I hadn't seen any that would flush mount on the back of my 5th wheel, which came with a single bulb model that puts out a puny amount of light. Well there on the shelf was a water proof LED with about 30 LED's for Stop & Tail and one had the License plate light built in. While I was looking at them Charlie came over and I asked him if anyone had bought any for an RV, and if they would wire right up without any resistors or anything, he said they should work just fine like that, and ever the salesman he said, "you going to put them on your RV" and I said yeah I have a fifth wheel, he then said tell you what the sign says $29 each I'll give them both for $40 and just tell your friends where your camping where you bought them, they work just great on boat trailers too.
When we got home Adam & I swapped them out and the difference in light output is about twice as bright with the LED's. A definite safety plus as far as I am concerned. This was something I had been thinking about safety wise for before we left on the road and now we will have them before our Vacation trip.
I think tonight since I am cooking for just me & Adam I will bake some Cannelloni , it's easy and I will only have one casserole dish and the plates to wash when were finished. That's about it for now. be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
Cannelloni for supper and how about some cannoli for dessert!! I'm drooling!

When is dinner?? The cannelloni sounds delicious Sam!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting how you can find things so easily when you aren't really looking for them? Sounds like a really neat store...spread the word.
Take care!

How cute for Adam to learn about LED bulbs and how much difference they make. Did he get his own screwdriver to help with?

You know how to make Cannelloni? I'm impressed - and also hungry!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great deal on those lights! Can we come for dinner? We love cannelloni too. :)
ReplyDeleteA bargain is a great thing to get! Cannelloni would be nice also.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what Cannelloni is, but by the sounds of the comments I guess it must be good. :)
